These Green’s functions are derived by the specially development method of separation of variables, which uses the properties of -Dirac’s function. This method was considerable more efficient then the others well known classical methods.
Derived functions are systematized and presented in the form of lists of the Green’s functions (about 150), obtained in analytical form. Most of them are new and are presented in the closed form. These results are not so well known in West European and American countries, this is the reason why the authors decided to write this book in English.
The Encyclopedia is provided by numerous typical examples of Green’s functions deriving. Some applications of Green’s functions in heat conduction, electrostatics and elastostatics are presented.
We hope that this book will by useful for all readers: from students to specialists whose area of study, application and research (thermo- magneto-electrostatics of solids, hydrostatics etc) is based on the solution of the boundary value problems for Poisson’s equation, including in the integral form.
The Encyclopedia presents a monograph, a reference book and a training collection of typical examples of how to derive effectively the Green’s functions for Poisson’s equation. This is why it will be welcome to be found not only in libraries of universities and research institutions, but also in personal libraries of a large audience of readers: students, engineers, researchers and scientists.
The authors would be gratified if this book will be able to disseminate largely the method of Green’s function in the numerous fields concerned by Laplace’s and Poisson’s equations.
